Widely used across many Northern European countries, cold weather tyres offer many benefits over summer tyres once the temperature drops to 7°C and below. Not only do they provide more grip and traction on wet and cold roads but also significantly reduce braking distances. Summer tyres in the same conditions become harder, less ‘elastic’ and consequently suffer from reduced performance.

Cold weather isn’t just about snow and ice. For the last 50 years the UK’s mean temperature during winter months has consistently been 7°C or below. Even when there isn’t a snowflake around, you’ll benefit from cold weather tyres.
