Roman Makes Switch To ATS Euromaster
Roman, the UK's leading shower manufacturer and designer, has appointed ATS Euromaster to manage the tyres across its 78-strong fleet of light commercial vehicles and five company cars.
The new agreement will see ATS Euromaster provide a complete range of tyre and fast-fit services on a nationwide basis, supporting a mixture of both short and long-wheelbase 3.5 tonne Mercedes Benz Sprinter vans, which are used to deliver shower equipment to retailers.
Michael Spink, Logistics Direct of Roman, comments: "The fleet leasing company we used to use employed the services of ATS Euromaster. When we recently switched to in-house vehicle management we decided to retain their service as it is second-to-none and we could see the clear cost benefits to us.
"with our fleet spread across the UK, appointing ATS Euromaster gives me the reassurance that we can access one of the country's largest networks of tyre service centres if one of our vehicles has the misfortune of suffering a tyre related breakdown.
"Tyres and other fast-fit services are competitively priced and the standard of work is generated across the network. We've already had a need to utilise ATS Euromaster's emergency support fleet when we have had vehicles stranded at the roadside, and in all instances, the technicians have had our drivers back on the road within an hour of making the call."
The new contract sees Roman adopt a new tyre policy with a mixture of Michelin, Avon and Hankook tyres being selected as replacements across the fleet. These will be fitted utilising ATS Euromaster's nationwide network of 470 service centres and a fleet of more than 1,000 mobile service vans, which gives Roman the option of having new tyres fitted at its depots, ensuring maximum convenience.
ATS Euromaster is also detailing fleet trends, tread depth and milege when a tyre is replaced, assisting Roman manage fitment policy adherence and reduce spend as it benefits from professional tyre management services.
