Car and Van Brakes

The safety of your drivers should never be compromised, so it’s essential that the brakes on your business vehicles are checked regularly and in optimum condition at all times.

At ATS Euromaster we offer 2 levels of Brake Inspection:

  • A Free Primary Brake Inspection
  • A chargeable Full Brake Inspection

Our experts will assess the condition of your brakes and inform you if anything should need replacing. If replacement parts are needed, we can source replacement OE quality parts immediately, minimising downtime.

Ask your Account Manager about our brake offer, as well as the competitive pricing packages set up exclusively for business customers.

Free Primary Brake Inspection

Our Free Primary Brake Inspection includes a visual assessment of:

  • Brake pads
  • Brake discs
  • Visible brake pipes and calipers are checked for signs of excessive corrosion and damage

Full Brake Inspection

Our Full Brake Inspection is an examination of your vehicles entire braking system:

  • Brake discs, pads and shoes
  • Calipers/wheel cylinders
  • Brake pipes (metal and rubber)
  • Brake master cylinder/servo
  • Handbrake cable and linkages
  • Brake drums and fluid

The charge for this brake inspection will be deducted from any brake related invoice subsequently produced by ATS Euromaster provided the work is carried out within seven days of inspection.

Business Benefits

Having brakes that are in good working order isn’t just about driver safety. It will also:

  • Enhance your Duty of Care to the general public
  • Help minimise vehicle downtime caused by minor accidents
  • Reduce damage to other vehicle components

Signs of Brake Issues

Most vehicles today are equipped with front disc brakes and rear drum brakes. These are operated via a system that consists of a hydraulic circuit linked in turn to the brake pedal. Pressure generated by the pedal (the braking force) is transmitted by the brake fluid via the hydraulic circuit to perform the braking action.

It’s not always obvious that your brakes need replacing but there are a few warning signs to look out for.

  • Noise
  • Juddering
  • Vehicle pulling to one side
  • Poor braking performance

Simple wear and tear can also mean that you experience a reduction in brake performance.
