Steve joins ATS Euromaster from Unipart Automotive, where he held the position of Sales and Operations Director for two and a half years, prior to which he was National Sales Manager at Autoglass for five years.

Commenting on his new position, Steve said:  “My primary focus will be to ensure that our service offering for national fleets continues to evolve and best meets the requirements of our customers, which are placing an even greater emphasis than ever before on duty of care and delivering efficiency savings.”

Steve will be based at ATS Euromaster’s head office and 24 hour customer service centre in Aston, but expects to spend the majority of his time ‘on-the-road’, supporting the National Car and National Truck teams when visiting both existing and potential customers.

Designed to take on specific roles in the fleet, the delivery includes mobile fitting vans for both cars and commercial vehicles, frontline rapid-response vehicles for providing emergency roadside assistance, flatbeds equipped to transport agricultural tyres and smaller vans for use by the company’s mobile fleet inspection department.

Tim Richards, Group Vehicle and Equipment Manager at ATS Euromaster, explains: “The nature of our business and our commitment to health and safety means each vehicle is built to a comprehensive specification, with an average of £15,000 spent on equipping each mobile service van with the specialist tools required for our technicians to operate safely.

“As part of this latest delivery we are trialing a new mobile truck tyre fitting machine which will enable us to fit tyres at a customers’ site more quickly, efficiently and safely.  The machine reduces the need to lift heavy truck tyres manually and helps to protect the beads, which in turn should lead to an even higher casing acceptance rate for remould programmes,” he adds.

This latest investment in new vehicles is part of ATS Euromaster’s ongoing commitment to operating a modern commercial vehicle fleet, ensuring excellent product reliability that in turn leads to greater customer satisfaction.  The new vehicles each benefit from LED lights and a roof-mounted light bar to ensure maximum visibility on the road and are expected to cover up to 25,000 miles a year.

They join a total fleet of approximately 1,200 light commercial vehicles and 400 cars that operate throughout the UK, supporting ATS Euromaster’s network of 490 centres that stretch from the Shetland Islands to the tip of Cornwall.
