VALVES AND VALVES EXTENSIONS

Other truck tyre services:

Valves and valve extensions are important replacement parts and help maintain the pressure in tyres.

These parts are subjected to:
  • Variations in temperature due to the proximity of the brakes
  • Mechanical vibrations
  • Corrosion caused by hydrocarbons
  • Natural rubber ageing
  • Dirt
Poorly sealed valves will allow air to seep from the tyre, gradually deflating it and resulting in increased fuel consumption and wear.


REMEMBER…

 
To prevent leakage, the valve insert and the valve should always be replaced when a new or remoulded tyre is fitted.
