Michelin national fleet sales manager Dave Crinson has called on haulage drivers to tell them about their experiences of tyre dealers.
The appeal comes as Michelin prepares to launch a new compound deal review website, which allows drivers and firms to post information on the service, price and overall experience they enjoyed when purchasing new tyres.
It has been developed as part of French-manufacturer’s ongoing campaign to improve consumer power, with users invited to rate their tyre sales service out of five stars.
Michelin hope that the website will help drivers make a more informed decision about the tyre fitting firm they use, while also pushing compound providers to offer better standards across the industry.
Speaking to Fleet News, Mr Crinson said: “At Michelin it’s our duty to develop the best performing tyres for our customers, but we also believe we have a responsibility to the industry to ensure drivers enjoy a good experience when they have tyres fitted.”
The new Tyre Dealer Review website is available to all motorists buying any brand of tyres and even offers a dealer search facility by name or postcode.
ATS Euromaster recently won praise after teaming up with Michelin to offer free tyre inflation checks on cars travelling through the Channel Tunnel.
