Force India driver Paul Di Resta has partly attributed his success at the Singapore Grand Prix to good tyre management.
The British star secured a sixth place finish at yesterday's (25th September) race and claimed that looking after his car's Pirelli tyres helped him achieve the best result of his career. Di Resta's previous best result came in Hungary where he finished seventh.
He said: "I don't think the safety car really helped us because I still had a lot of life left in the supersoft tyres in the middle of the race, but it didn’t really hurt us either.
"After that it was a case of managing my pace to Rosberg, looking after the tyres and bringing the car home."
Red Bull driver Sebastian Vettel won the Singapore Grand Prix ahead of Jenson Button and now needs just one point from the last five races to reclaim the world championship.
