Formula 1 tyre supplier Pirelli has selected its tyres for the upcoming Japanese, Korean and Indian Grands Prix.
The Singapore leg on September 21st -23rd will see drivers using the soft and super soft rubber, as will the Korean GP between October 12th and 14th. The super soft tyres have been wheeled out two times before in Monaco and Canada.
The Japanese GP in Suzuka (October 5th to 7th) – the 15th round of the championship – will feature the hard and soft compounds, with the same tyres also on the cards for India (October 26th to 28th).
Six sets of the harder compound and five of the softer will be allocated to teams at race weekends.
Ferrari's Fernando Alonso still heads the pack by some distance in this year's championship with 179 points and three wins. The fight for second place is more tightly contested as McLaren's Lewis Hamilton, Lotus' Kimi Raikonnen and Red Bull's Sebastien Vettel all sit within one point of each other.
