Kimi Raikkonen is ready for the upcoming Formula One season according to team boss Eric Boulllier who is confident the Finn will succeed on the new Pirelli tyres.
The 2012 World Championship season is set to begin next weekend, with the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne ready to provider a memorable opener.
Over the past week, drivers have descended on Barcelona, for a series of tests, which have provided drivers with the opportunity to practice on the new tyres set to feature this year.
The new compounds have already generated much attention, with the designs set to provide a softer tyre for drivers this season.
But while many of the drivers have enjoyed a solid week of testing, Raikkonen lost running at both the second test and during one of the practice days in Spain.
Despite these setbacks, Mr Boullier believes the Finn could achieve good things this year.
"We will never recover from the four days we lost, and of course they would have been welcome. Both Kimi and Romain [Grosjean] would have benefited from the mileage, but it is like it is," he said in an interview with Autosport.
"We have to deal with the facts and I must say we did the best with the remaining days we had."
