Red Bull driver Sebastian Vettel has claimed that the Pirelli tyres used at this weekend's Korean Grand Prix will be tested to the limit.
Speaking after Friday's (14th October) practice session, the newly crowned world champion claimed that the Italian firm's soft and supersoft tyres will undergo a stern examination at the unique circuit.
He said: "Maybe it turns out to be better than expected or worse. It is quite a tough track on tyres. I think even with long straights, there is hardly any rest after that. So it's not that easy.
"Everything we learned today is not worth a lot for the next two days but the car feels alright so that is most important."
Vettel finished the day's practice session as the third-quickest driver behind the two McLarens, with Lewis Hamilton impressing in the wet conditions to set the fastest time of the day.
The German secured back-to-back championships last week after finishing third at the Japanese Grand Prix.
