Tyre safety organisation TyreSafe has announced the launch of a dedicated section on its website for businesses and company car drivers.
The new one-stop shop will cover legal requirements, such as maintaining the correct tyre air pressure and tread depth, for those who drive for a living.
In addition it also offers advice on how firms can implement a successful tyre maintenance policy, something which TyreSafe stresses will both reduce casualties related to illegal, defective or under-inflated tyres and help save businesses money.
"Companies that correctly maintain their tyres can significantly reduce their fuel bills and enjoy safer driving for their staff," Stuart Jackson, chairman of TyreSafe, said.
TyreSafe recommends that the air pressure, tread depth and overall condition of tyres are inspected at least once a month or before any lengthy journey.
