Hankook Tire has taken a huge leap forward in the western automobile market after it was announced that its new tyres are set to come as standard with the new BMW 3-Series.
According to reports, the Korean compound manufacturer has agreed a deal to be one of the original equipment suppliers for the new BMW 3-Series.
The premium car manufacturer's new model is set to be equipped with the special high-performance Ventus S1 evo compounds.
These new Hankook tyres will be fitted in a standard 205/60 R 16 W with more versions of the popular compound set to be rolled out at a later date.
Hankook Tire's head of their European Technology Centre Stefan Fischer explained the choice behind the compounds.
"With the new Ventus S1 evo² we consistently applied Kontrol Technology to develop a modern high-performance tyre which plays in the top league in terms of driving dynamics, safety and environmental considerations," he said.
The BMW 3-Series is the third model produced by BMW to feature Hankook tyres.
