Garages and MOT test centres across the UK could soon hit the headlines after nominations opened for the 2012 Garage of the Year award.
The awards, created by the Motor Codes governing body, will give motorists the chance to nominate any UK service and repair garage for the accolade.
Backed by The Sun newspaper, the awards have been designed to highlight the best garages for services like Mot testing and mobile tyre fitting.
Award categories will feature accolades for both small and large garages, with voting open from today (February 24th) until April 1st.
Commenting on the new awards, Motor Codes managing director Chris Mason said: "The competition is a great opportunity to shout about what’s good in our industry and stand up against the negative image that some people still hold."
The awards represent the third annual edition of the event, which also gives those who are voting the chance to win free servicing and tickets to the British Grand Priz at Silverstone simply for voting.
