A survey by Continental Tyres has revealed that Jeremy Clarkson is the celebrity UK motorists would least like to share a driving adventure with.
Those taking part in the research were asked which celebrity they would least like to share a 4×4 drive across the Sahara Desert with.
The Top Gear presenter beat off competition from glamour model Katie Price who was ranked second, while prime minister David Cameron was a close third.
According to the Continental Tyres' poll of 2,000 people, around 75 per cent would rather ditch a celebrity, with almost 50 per cent opting for a family member to join them.
The findings came as part of build up to this year's Conti 4X4 Trophy, which sees drivers compete for a place on an off-road challenge across the Sahara Desert in a Hummer.
Commenting on the findings, Continental Tyres spokesman Tim Bailey said: "Driving thousands of miles through the Atlas Mountains and the fiery sands of the Sahara Desert makes your choice of co-driver incredibly important.
"Jeremy Clarkson might have motoring credentials but either his calamitous road trips on Top Gear his lack of practical skills or his outspoken views mean most people would leave him behind."
