Continental Tyres take top spot in evo magazine test

Continental tyres has won praise from monthly UK car magazine evo, after coming top in the publications latest compound test, which was featured in the February edition of the magazine.

The ContiSportContact3 tyres took the coveted top spot in the latest performance tyre test, which highlights exceptional road performance among compounds available in the UK.

These new tyres from Continental won praise for their exemplary performance across wet and dry conditions with handling, aquaplaning and braking abilities all singled out for commendation.

Using the 235/40 R18 Continental tyres alongside a range of top branded compounds, the German manufacturer took the top spot in both the wet handling and braking categories.

Speaking after the demonstration of the Continental ContiSportContact3 tyres, a spokesperson for the compound-manufacturer was full of praise for the designs.

"There were some great performances on the wet circuit but the Conti still stood out, setting the fastest lap time," they said.

"Especially impressive was its stability – it barely acknowledged puddles that were registered by its closest rivals, and its traction was superb."
