Fleet managers attending the Freight Transport Association's (FTA) Transport Manager 2011 seminar series have the chance to win a set of winter tyres from Goodyear, in addition to learning about the latest developments in the industry.
The prize has been offered up as one of the main themes of the seminar series, which is taking place at venues across the UK throughout September, October and November, is 'preparation for winter'.
Goodyear says that its cold weather tyres provide better performance in conditions of seven degrees Celsius and below.
Some of the sessions set to take place at Transport Manager 2011 include ways of cutting costs, fuel consumption and carbon emissions; changes to operator licensing and the role of transport managers in 2012; and extreme weather preparations for the winter.
There will also be seminars explaining the Agency Worker Directive, while talks on the key transport developments expected in the year ahead will take place.
Goodyear's latest truck tyre innovation, Max Technology, utilises new materials and designs to offer increased traction, damage resistance and high mileage, with the needs of today's fleets in mind.
