Those eager to embark on a motorhome-based holiday over Easter must ensure their caravan tyres are properly maintained, according to Tyresafe.
This suggestion comes as families across the country prepare to embark on some of the UK-based caravan holidays on offer across the country over the upcoming bank holiday.
Tyresafe are calling for drivers to pay particular attention to caravan tyres, with those on trailers potentially damaged after being exposed to winter conditions, which can often lead to compound degradation.
Stuart Jackson, chairman at TyreSafe, said: “Exposure to the elements for long periods without movement can be a real cause of rubber damage to caravan tyres.
"Therefore it’s vital to ensure that the tyres are properly inspected before use and correctly maintained.”
The body is calling for drivers to ensure all compounds undergo professional checks before embarking on any major road trip.
