Logistics service provider Autologic has announced a new five-year deal, which will see the firm fit Goodyear Dunlop tyres across its fleet.
The agreement will see a range of compounds provided by the manufacturer, including the 275/70 R22.5 Goodyear Marathon LHT II tyre, which will be made available to the company's fleet of over 400 vehicle transporters.
The compound has been designed for use on long haul trailers, with reduced C02 emissions and overall fuel consumption said to be two of the benefits offered by the low rolling resistance tyre.
This latest edition to the Goodyear Dunlop tyres range also provides improved mileage, reduced noise levels and better grip in wet conditions.
Speaking to Transport Engineer, Autologic's head of operations Simon Knight explained the reasons behind its compound choice.
"Our business is focused on providing excellent service to our customers – which means it's imperative we operate a robust and reliable fleet," he said.
The company was particularly drawn to Goodyear's Fleet Online Solutions and Fleet Online Solutions Mobile services, which have been created to improve fleet visibility.
Two weeks ago Nationwide Platforms signed a tyre fitting deal with ATS Euromaster, with the company set to provide a 24/7 service across the firm's fleet.
