Michelin strikes up caravan tyres deal

3rd August 2012

Michelin is to supply caravan tyres to the new range of Bailey Unicorn tourers, as part of a new agreement signed between the firms.

The new tyres deal between the Bristol-based Bailey Caravans and the French firm represents the first to specify the use of a premium branded compound on a range of tourers.

It could prove highly beneficial to caravanners too, with Michelin tyres widely available across the UK and Europe.

As part of the agreement, Bailey will reduce the size of its alloy wheels from 15" to 14" in order to assist plans for weight reduction across the company's range.

Bailey Caravans said: "Michelin tyres selected have a proven track record of safety, reliability and longevity, while their patented silicon compound minimises rolling resistance to help reduce fuel costs and ultimately save the customer money."

The firm already uses Michelin tyres on its Approach SE motorhome range.
