Michelin have garnered more praise for its range of compounds after the firm's Energy Saver Tyres were awarded "Best Buy" status by Which? magazine.
The consumer affairs publication awarded the Michelin tyres with its special recommendation following a series of recent tests.
A range of the firm's 165/70 R 14 T tyres were tested in a variety of performance areas including braking, wet and dry handling, drive-by noise, wear as well as fuel consumption.
Commenting on the test result, Michelin's product marketing manager Steve Dolby described the result as reinforcing the firms "Balance of Performance philosophy" employed in the design of its tyres.
"This should help consumers make more informed decisions when purchasing tyres, based on important considerations like safety and the environment," he said in the April edition of the publication.
Michelin Energy Saver tyres have been designed to improve fuel consumption and reduce overall C02 emissions.
