Motorcyclists have been urged to check the pressure and tread depth of their tyres ahead of the summer.
With motorcyclist owners set to use their vehicles more over the coming months, Derby and Derbyshire Road Safety Partnership has advised Brits to conduct a thorough check of their tyres before heading out for the first time.
In an interview with the Derbyshire Times, Andy Adlington, motorcycle project officer at the partnership, warned motorcyclists that they could run into trouble if they forget to check their tyres.
He told the news provider: "We're warning motorcyclists to make sure their tyres are roadworthy before heading out on the open road.
"Motorcyclists should make sure that their tyres have enough tread on them and that they're inflated to the level specified in their manufacturer's handbook. It's also important to check that they are correctly balanced and aligned."
Brits with a bike above 50cc are legally required to ensure that their tyres have a tread depth of at least 1mm.
