New deal to improve Pirelli’s tyre checks in Brazil

24th October 2011

Italian tyre manufacturer Pirelli has signed a deal with Transense Technologies which will improve the standard of its tyre inspections in Brazil.

Transense's subsidiary firm Translogik will provide its commercial vehicle tyre inspection tools and its patented 'TruckSense' Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS) to Pirelli Brazil.

The tools will be used as part of Pirelli Brazil's new nationwide commercial tyre inspection system – Pirelli Tyre Check – which aims to further improve the standard of tyres sold in the country.

Marcio Takimoto, Pirelli's product manager and strategic marketing of truck tyres operations in Latin America, claimed that the firm will significantly benefit from the new tools.

He said: "Further to extensive trials, the probe has proved to be a real time-saver, helping to collect and wirelessly record real-time tread and pressure readings more quickly and accurately."

Translogik provides a range of hardware and software solutions for the tyre industry.
