Mercedes team boss Ross Brawn has admitted that more work is required before his team master's the sport's Pirelli tyres.
The admission came as the racing duo of Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg prepared to take to the track for this weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix.
Former world champions Schumacher has already voiced some criticism of the Pirelli tyres adopted this season, previously describing racing on them as like driving on raw eggs.
Speaking earlier this week though, Brawn offered up a more balanced assessment of the team's efforts on the Italian compounds.
"I think we're still not quite in that right group of tyre usage," he told ESPN.
"It's much better than it was but we're still not quite in that right group."
Brawn will be hoping to see an improvement this weekend though, after Schumacher and Rosberg finished seventh and tenth respectively last time out.
