The 2013 edition of the MINI Challenge will feature the event making its return to mainland Europe for the first time in six years.
Each year, the Pirelli-backed tournament features a mix of MINI John Cooper Works and MINI Cooper Class vehicles completing a few laps around some of the most famous race circuits in the UK.
In order to show its support for the challenge on an annual basis, Pirelli acts as the championship's sole tyre supplier and ensures that there are plenty of thrills during every race.
However, the Italian tyre manufacturer will have to travel even further to show its backing for the 2013 MINI Challenge, seeing as though this year's competition features a visit to the Netherlands in the autumn.
Competitors are being tasked to undertake three races on the demanding Zandvoort circuit between September 7th and 8th.
Matthew Corby, the motorsport operations manager at Pirelli, pointed out: "The calendar already features some of Britain's best race circuits, but will also provide a new challenge as it moves to Zandvoort, which is renowned for its famous 'Tarzanbocht' (Tarzan corner) hairpin."
The 2013 Mini Challenge's series promoter Antony Williams was keen to add: "Zandvoort is … a perfect venue because it's easy to access. It is also a very demanding circuit, and with three races taking place there it should play a key role in the championship fight."
