Pirelli will return to its home circuit of Monza for the Blancpain Endurance Series this weekend, April 13th-14th. This will be the first time Pirelli has backed the Blancpain series, making it a triumphant homecoming for the tyre-maker.
Pirelli’s senior engineer Matteo Braga said: “Monza is always a very important race for us and one of the toughest tests for any tyre”. Mr Braga said the circuit’s flat-out straights and high-impact curbs will present a real challenge for the Milan-based tyre-maker. Despite that, he remains confident.
“We’re delighted to offer the teams our latest tyres … which offer the perfect compromise between strength, durability and performance” on what Mr Braga calls “one of the most demanding and evocative circuits that we visit all year”.
This year’s been a successful one for Pirelli, as it’s had multiple high-profile platforms, including the FIA GT Series, through which to showcase its new P Zero road tyres. It currently stands as the industry leader of the ultra high performance sector.
The tyre-maker’s slick and wet models will be used at the race by cars of various configurations, ranging from front to rear engines.
ATS Euromaster has Pirelli tyres in stock, for drivers who need ultimate grip and manoeuvrability on the road.
