Pirelli's K6 gravel tyres performed well at the Bulldog International Rally of North Wales last weekend, with Tom Cave taking the chequered flag at the event.
Taking place across the Dyfi and Dyfnant forest in Wales, local boy Cave was the star of the show as he secured a maiden victory driving in the Citroen DS3 R3T.
Much of his success was down to the performance of the K6 control Pirelli tyres used in the competition, with the compounds coping well in notably warm and dry conditions.
The victory saw Cave receive the coveted Pirelli yellow jersey, with the 20-year-old driver now marked as the second nominee to attend the compound manufacturer's end of season shoot-out.
Reflecting on an eventful day of racing, Pirelli Tyre UK's motorsport manager Carl Taylor praised the "sheer commitment" of the drivers on show, as well as heaping praise on the Italian manufacturer's compound.
"Despite the unexpectedly warm weather, our Pirelli K6 gravel tyres performed remarkably well," he said.
"They were effective on a very wide range of different machinery, and although the tyres were often on the limit due to the warm weather, they proved to be more than capable of withstanding the challenging conditions."
