Getting to grips with Pirelli tyres will be the hardest part of Kimi Raikkonen's return to Formula One, the Finn has revealed.
Having signed a two-year deal with Lotus Renault, Raikkonen is now preparing for his first F1 race since the end of 2009, when he quit the sport to pursue a rallying career instead.
The 32-year-old, who won the World Championship with Ferrari in 2007, knows it won't be easy getting back into the cockpit.
However, he believes the most difficult challenge will be getting to grips with the Pirelli tyres that were introduced for all F1 cars at the start of last season and have made tyre management strategies a much more important part of the game.
"I am more motivated than ever and I don't think I've lost any speed," Raikkonen said.
"Getting on top of the tyres will be the hardest thing, of course, but I'm not really worried."
