Sgfleet vehicles will now be fitted with Michelin tyres, after the company announced it was set to alter the compound policy for its British fleet.
The fleet management firm currently operates a total of 70,000 cars and vans across the globe, with over 2,000 operating in the UK.
Under the new agreement, 80 per cent Sgfleet's UK fleet will now adopt new tyres from Michelin, having previously used an alternative brand of premium compound.
ATS Euromaster will also play a role in the new agreement, with the tyre specialist taking responsibility for fitting the new compounds.
Speaking after the deal was announced, chief executive David Fernandes explained that the change came after Michelin tyres achieved better results than its current brand during testing.
“As a fleet management company looking to expand our business we need to give our customers the best quality, the best value and reduce downtime as much as possible," he said.
“We hope this is the beginning of a long-term relationship with Michelin and ATS Euromaster and believe the added value from fitting Michelin tyres will help our business to grow.”
