Uniroyal RainExpert Tyres awarded best buy status by Which?

11th January 2012

Uniroyal Tyres has garnered praise from Which? Car magazine after being awarded best buy status in the November edition of the publication.

The Uniroyal RainExpert Tyres feature the company's trademark directional V tread pattern, which provides additional grip and allows the compounds to cut through water.

These compounds also feature directional sipes in the shoulders and tread centre of the tyre, allowing for shorter braking distances in dry and wet road conditions.

Which? Car magazine was full of praise for the tyres, noting their grip in wet conditions and awarding the compounds "four stars across all ratings except noise", where they were still given a three star rating.

The Which? Car test gave the 175/65 R14T compounds a rating of 67 per cent.

Uniroyal product manager Jonathan Hayter expressed his joy at the ratings, labelling it as "a great endorsement for the Uniroyal brand".

"The RainExpert delivers outstanding performance and gives motorists greater safety in wet conditions when it is most needed," he added.
