Motorists searching for a special memento of this summer’s Olympic Games could be in luck after the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) released details of a special personalised number plate auction.
The new sale offers drivers the chance to add that extra level of personalisation to their car, with a unique and truly British array of number plates set to go on the block.
Among the highlights on offer, is the BU11 DOG number plate, which could help you fly the flag this summer in the most subtle way possible.
Failing that, the DVLA is also auctioning off the number plate EN61 AND, which may even appeal to football fans ahead of this summer’s Euro 2012 assault under new manager Roy Hodgson.
These personalised registrations are set to go up for auction at City Hall in London on June 7th, as part of a three day sale featuring a host of number plate delights.
Jody Davies, DVLA personalised registrations' events manager, said: "Internationally, I can't remember an auction which is as well represented as our June sale."
The sale will also feature Olympic themed plates such as WON 601D and 2012 OG.
But with these kinds of plates on offer, you could find yourself facing a 100 metre sprint of your own to beat the competition to them.
