Help catch the tyre slashers on Northern Ireland estate

Police in Northern Ireland are urging residents of an estate in Portadown to contact them with any information on car vandals in the area.

On Tuesday night (November 15th), 16 cars had their tyres slashed in Bromstown, marking the fifth time in recent weeks that vehicles in the area have been targeted.

Ten cars were attacked in Alexandra Gardens, two in Jervis Street and two in Atkinson Avenue.

Neighbourhood inspector Phil Shepherd, said: "These attacks took place in quite a small area and we believe that someone in the community will have information that will assist our investigation.

"These are attacks on members of the local community and we would ask anyone who noticed anything untoward in the area Tuesday night or on Friday night to contact us so that we can find those responsible."

Owners of the affected vehicles are asked to get in touch with officers at Portadown Police Station on 0845 600 8000. Alternatively, information can be passed anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
