In-car singing could be the ideal solution to any motorist's road-based stress, according to Ken McCall, the managing director of car hire firm Europcar.
The assessment follows the publication of a new study in which the company quizzed its own UK staff about their in-car singing habits.
According to the findings, the practice of singing along to some of your favourite tunes while driving is more widespread than you would think, with 88 per cent of respondents admitting to the practice.
Commenting on the figures, Mr McCall highlighted the soothing power that singing could provide to any motorist feeling tense while on the road.
“You only need to sit in a traffic jam and look at the driver in the car next to you or behind you to realise that in-car singing is a great stress reliever” he said.
The research saw the Ace of Spades by Motorhead voted the favourite song to sing while driving, while 10cc's classic hit Dreadlock Holiday was voted the least favourite.
