About Hankook Tyres
Hankook Tyre Manufacturing was established in South Korea in 1941 by founder Cho Hong-Je. The company was originally named Chosun Tire Company. In 1968, the company was renamed Hankook- 'Chosun' and 'Hankook' both refer to the names of ancient Korean kingdoms. In 1979, Hankook built the world's largest single tire production facility and by the early 1980s, Hankook tyres were introduced to the UK.
