We recommend having your car’s air conditioning recharged regularly to keep it in good, working condition, but if you haven’t had your air conditioning system cleaned for a while chances are that it may need a treatment from bacteria build up and benefit from the preventative anti-bacterial measures in our solution.
If your air con system components have bacteria present, you might notice a distinct smell coming through the vents when your air conditioning is running. By booking the two services at once you’ll be able to enjoy effective, cooling and fresh smelling air con in the future.
Air conditioning system checks and recharges are recommended by most vehicle manufacturers after the vehicle is two years old and then annually thereafter, to make sure that the refrigerant gas is topped up at the correct level for maximum system effectiveness. Anti-bacterial treatment do not have a set time period for when they should be carried out, however it’s common for them to be required if the air conditioning system has not been used for an extended period, or if unpleasant smells come from the system and in conjunction with any recharge.
As a general rule, if you notice that your air conditioning emits a nasty smell, chances are that it is as a result of a bacteria build-up in the system and it’s time for an anti-bacterial treatment to freshen things up.
